Check Out these brake rotor pics!

Man, this is a mess, note how the contact surface has seperated fron the center part of the disc.

Here's another picture, this one I sort of picked the contact part of the disc up to align it to the center part of the disc. In the previous picture it was sort of dropped down.

Gilly

ps thanks to Bill Wood for helping me "shrink" the images to fit the post, and to Matt at Zimbricks for taking the digital pictures (gotta get me one of those someday)

Thumbs up sweet!!!

Now that's what I call FLEXIBLE SERVICE!!!!
I can only imagine how the complaint on the R.O. was phrased.
"Client states front brakes squeek. check and advise."

Should have just "turned" the disc once more...it still had some life in it!

Well, AFTER you weld it back to the hub!

Curious...what model was that car(truck)?

That looks like the ML's brakes to me.

Just curious, do you know what it was that caused that or was the rotor just defective?

Man...that must have been some pretty aggressive driving!! Did overheating play a part?? Imagine the sound it must make when applying the brakes...yikes!!

"Neglect" did that (totally worn out), and it's an ML320.
