Rear differential
 

Hello all,

I found oil seepage at the rear right differential. The dealer is going to replace the seal under warranty. Is this a common failure, and is there anything I need to look out for ??

I've seen a few leaking right side rear diff seals in the past couple months. The left and right are different size seals (not the same left/right) so maybe there was some flaw in the design or manufacture of the right side one.
So I'm not saying it's exactly a "common" failure, but you're not the first either.
