Lost all but my Benz in the San Diego Fires!!

Yes, it hardly seems true, but my house totally burned up. We lived on Rue Finisterre in Scripps Ranch. The flames came so fast, and we owned one of the front line houses backing up to Miramar. Check out link for picture.

We barely had enough time to get our daughter and cats in the car.

With the fire went all my documentation of my 2000 ML 430. I would like to recover some basic items such as:

Owners Handbook
Service Handbook
Parts Lists
GPS cd for CA/NV non DVD version

If anyone could supply me with a copy of any of the above item, I would greatly appreciate it.

Unfortunately most of us are underinsured, so it will be lots of extra $$ to re-build.

Here is a friendly warning to all of you homeowners out there. Check your insurance. Most policies are capped and only replace up to a certain value. Your house appreciates, you upgrade, but you usually don't tell your agent to insure you for more.

So long fellow Benz owners, and please let me know if any of you own a 2000 ML 430, and would not mind making a copy of the above documentation. I'll gladly pay for copies and postage.

Thanks again!!!

You kept the NAV CD in the house, not in the truck?

Sorry to hear of your loss. Fortunately, you were able to spare the important things in life, your family. Most of the other stuff is replacable. Good luck to you and your family in the months to come.

Wow ... my heart goes out to you. Though your loss was unexpected, you have your health and your family.

I don't have any of those items you are asking for, but if I can help in any way, please ask.

PM or email me.

Wow, that is a moving picture. I am sorry about your physical loss, but as it has been stated, the important thing is your family is okay. Check eBay for most of your items, you might get lucky and find an auction for the full owner's paperwork kit.
