Asking price of that one is 145k. It is a stripped down model. It was given to Govner Terminator by MB Unimog as promotional vehicle with a temporary certification to be used on the road. That certification is up. Some states it can be liscensed others it can not. CA is one of the nots.

In another thread someone said their was no way this beasty could out do a Hummer as it says in tha ad. Wellll.. many of you in here know that answer but here was my reply.

...."will it go further than a hummer.... hmmmm... not sure about that model. Odds are YES!! BTW.... that EXACT model is used in the Military so no it is not just a commercial vehicle. Yes, it is also used heavily by commercial enterprises though. The new Unimog sold here thru Freightliner is commercial application designed. The military does not use that model nor will they. It is not as capable off road.

The most capable Unimog off road is still the 404 with a full load. Yep..... with a full load. The designed in frame flex is maximized at full load (which was the intent.) These were made longgggg before a Hummer. 60's thru the 80's. When the Hummer made it overseas where they had Mogs; they had to give the Unimog a new name. They gave it a simple name actually. Hummer killer :p (granted this part is hearsay)

The newer models have steadily gotten stiffer frames. Will a 60's era 404 out do a hummer off road too? Excpet for needing to do it fast... it will walk anywhere a hummer finds it can no longer travel. Thats not a boast. It's just a fact mam."

And you might get to drive one of these, the Leopard II.

Leo II driving under water.

BTW, my godson is a tank commander. And yes, even these can get stuck. The other day a Leo II sank into a mudhole nearly up to the top during an exercise and couldn't get out on it's own. On the radio: "We are sinking." Two Bergepanzers, also Leo IIs, had to pull him out...
