Hey Tracy,

Long time no speak! I'm going to take a chance on Axxis Ceramic pads. I was going to go with the metal masters but now I'm leaning toward these.
I know your a fan of PBR Deluxe pads and Axxis I'm told is the manufacturer for PBR.

Did you choose a ceramic pad?

Rgds, Ed

Hi Ed! It has been a while.

I plumb forgot about this thread. 180+ views and one response. Wow.

After a lot of looking I wasn’t able to find any ceramic pads for the ML. I ended up with PBR Deluxe and they have been great. No loss of stopping power and almost no dust. Perhaps next time around ceramic will be more readily available.

I bought ceramic brake pads for our 02 Buick. The braking power seems to be the same. There is far less brake dust. I changed the pads 8k km ago.

Sorry, but I forgot the name of the brake pads. I paid around $90 CAN for those brake pads. However the dealer wanted about 115 for OEM ones.

I don't know about Mercedes applications, but I used them on a Subaru. Never again. They may have good wear characteristics, but the stopping ability seems much less. I will use only OEM for street vehicles, and carbon-kevlar for road racing.
