How are the proterfield pads on noise? Do they squeel at all or are they as quiet as stock? I honestly have not heard anything but praise for Porterfield and have heard very good things about their performance as well.

Bendix pads on ML
I put Bendix pads on my ML ... both front and rear and they work fine .... very good price compared to some of the others, but I can't compare wear.
However they are quite and don't seem to create a lot of dust.

One other thing... the R4-S street compound probably is not suitable for serious track use. If you track the car, get the R4 race compound, which is even more expensive, noisy, dusty, dirty, short-lived, doesn't work well when cold, but should withstand serious race use without fade. Neil V prefers Carbotech pads, but those are even more expensive than Porterfield... he said approx. $200 per axle. I haven't tried them yet, mostly due to cost! |
