Doing an engine mail seal on ML320

Is there a thread on doing a main seals on an ML? Mine seems to be leaking oil, about a quart every oil change.

Thanks,

John

Lots of people have mentioned that the ML eats oil. 1 Qt per oil change does not seem excessive for this car. Apparently many people have had MB say this is normal. Search around I think you can save yourself some trouble

Is it leaking a little oil around the front main seal? Mine just started to do that at about 120,000 miles. Not big enough to be an irritant, maybe it leaks 1 qt. per 10,000 miles. Sooner or later this will aggravate me enough to fix it instead of keeping kitty litter on the floor of the garage. If someone else has done this job I would be interested in their experience.

These seals must have come from the same place as the pinion shaft seals on the diffs?
