New to ML world
Greatings. I purchased a used 2000 ML320 last week at Carmax (35,998mi). I bought the ML320 because it was about the only nice SUV I could fit into (6'4"). I asked the local Mercedes dealer to pull the warranty records and found the usual window switch fixes had been applied (single switch) twice, once at 23K, once at 35K. My first question from reading through this forum is -- it seems other forum readers say the window switch array is a multi-switch module that once replaced should last for a while. So why do the service records on my 320 suggest single switch replacements? My second question is maintenance costs. I also have a 85 BMW 735i so I am used to moderate maintenance costs but I am unsure in the ML320 world. I have 8400mi till the next double wrench service on the ML is due. The Mercedes dealer says that service will run about $500. Is that about the norm?
So far very I'm very happy with this vehicle. Thanks,
