Hello all

I have a 2003 ML350

The red panic buttom is missing, anyone knows where I can get the replacement?

I have checked with local mercedes dealer, they want me to order a new remote for $300.

If all you need is the button they are MUCH cheaper on eBay and other sites.

Lightly used would do (?).

Any place else but the dealers. They are such thieves, shake down artists, the service advisors....:fork_off:

The only parts of the ket that can be bought are the "blade" & the batteries.

The only use for a E bay remote

Well if you can find one on Ebay, use the housing and throw the guts away

Buy a key on EBAY, keep the buttons, toss the rest

I needed a new panic button on my otherwise working key, so I got a complete key from EBAY that was from a different vehicle but in like new condition for about $30 or so. The panic button can be pried off with a pin, it's just a rubber part that fits in a slot surrounding the mechanical switch opening. The new one just presses in place of the old one, and you're done... When the other buttons wear out I'll do the same thing.

A little off the point, I was just quoted $112 from my dealer for a new key (with the remote) for my 99 ML430.

Is this the "going rate"? Do other dealers charge less and ship?

well that's just the beginning, they will also charge you to program it to your car. you see, you will get double dipped.
