(201) 845-5242 is the number. The guy you want to
speak to is "Freddie". The shop is on the corner of 5th and Rt. 46 going west bound right before the traffic light on the right. You'll know it's the right shop because you'll see mostly European cars. It's a 2 (deep) bay garage with the office to the left of it. Good luck. -Adam |

My favorite mechanic is on RT 46 in Roxbury.
Roxbury Foriegn Car Owner is Hienz and has a ton of MB's out front. They really know what they are doing. His place is about 2 miles east of where 10 begins off 46. John |

Exit 30 (Mt. Arlington) off I-80 west. Take that down the mountain and make a left on 46 east. About 1/2 mile on your right will be Roxbury Foreign Car. Since 287 is exit 42 off 80, it should be about 12 miles from Parsippany.
EXCELLENT shop. I have all of my work done there I can't do. Great guys. |

Good body shop in NJ
I was planning on having my 300SDL repainted this spring/summer and now today after scuffing my wheel well I've decided just to get the whole car done.
I dont need a $4000 paint job, but I do want a high quality, no overspray, no scratches, no pits paint job of the original color. I would be willing to travel a bit for the right shop, any reccomendations? |

Getting my valves adjusted in a couple of weeks
John,
I understand you have your car there for service today. I'm having the 300D in for service on 5/24, valve adjustment. I told him you referred me. They must be good, as when I said I had a 1977 300D he said......AAAAAAHHHHHHHH, Vat a car. JCD |

Try Ferrarra's in Montclair, NJ. I don't have their # on me now.
My '95 S500 was hit pretty bad and needed a lot of work. Bottom line, great body work, even better paint job. |

Lee's Garage in Long Branch NJ does excellent work and the people there are more than a pleasure to deal with. I am not sure what there pricing would be and if it would be much cheaper than $4000. Give them a call and ask.

BIG thumbs down for Contemporary in Little Silver NJ
Brought the car in for a few things. I provided a list of what was wrong and they still charged be $300+ for diagnostic fees. This is the 1st time I have ever paid such a fee. Now I do understand they have to be paid for their time but the other 3 things that they claimed they fixed where not. They where supposed to balance the tires and I had to make a special trip back just to have it done. They still claim after doing it that they thought it was done. They did refund the money for the other 2 items they did not fix but did however not compensate me for my time wasted on something that should have been done the 1st time. Stay away they are NO better than the rest.......
