Just got back from dropping off (literally, from a ramp truck) my 560SL at Ed Owens new place. Very very impressive!!!! They have not been open long, but it seems they are in a position to carry on the Hatch tradition. Ken continues to do a fine job at Heritage, but I have great faith in Ed and Arthur Aucoin, whom I have known since my son worked at Hatch, in the body shop. I bought the 560SL from Bruce at Hatch, (still at Heritage) and Arthur has worked on it many times. I am impressed by his skill and his Mercedes knowledge. Also Ed. THere are two other folks involved whom I don't know yet, but I have faith. I recommend them highly. See copy of Ed's card attached.

First of all, why do we need anyone else to carry on the Hatch tradition? Ken Hatch is alive and well carrying on that exact tradition he and his family created - along with his longtime lead mechanic Wallace Palmer, who was at Hatch and Sons from its inception . The name may of changed but the original Hatch tradition remains at 533 Boston Post Road in Wayland. Foreign Motors West/Bentley Boston was smart to keep Ken and his guys running Heritage Motorwerks Mercedes service. They knew a good thing when they saw it. Who would have thunk it - a dealer who actually lets a division exist as an independent!!!!

I am Ed Owen, one of the owners of European Auto Solutions. I can assure everyone that it is not our intent to carry on the Hatch & Sons legacy. Bob and Jim Hatch are doing a great job with sales in Hudson, and Ken Hatch is still carrying on his high standard of knowledge at Foreign Motors West's Heritage Motorwerks. We are in the grassroots stage of our own tradition of value.

I do have a few questions for "Nala". Is it your intent to write a three paragraph tutorial laced with sarcasm everytime one of our customer's has something nice to say about us? You have posted 8 (+) paragraphs in defense of Foreign Motors West's Heritage Motorwerks. Since you claim to have familiarity with many former Hatch & Sons employees, I would ask that you identify yourself to substantiate your claim of being a customer of 18 yrs. and allow the opportunity for an honest forum for debate. If you choose not to do so publicly then e-mail me privately at: ed@virtualeas.com

Seems as though you shortened your post. Used to be 3 paragraphs, now it is one.
Still haven't let us know who you are. You picked up on my comment about "having faith" with clearly sarcastic and derogatory comments. I can assure you that my judgements about MB service are based on far more than faith. Both Ed and I would really like to know who you are, so we might have a reasonable discussion.
