Recommendations for Long Island, NY repair shops?

Hi. Can anyone recommend a reputable, honest and expert Mercedes repair shop or independent mechanic somwhere within Suffolk County, the eastern portion of Long Island in New York state? I would be grateful to hear of any. Thanks again.

I'm in Texas, so I can't help you here, but have you checked the "Good MB Shops" forum?

That is where you should post this anyway, but that's okay. By the way I saw a thread in that forum titled "Long Island".

You might already find some threads with the info you are looking for in that forum. Lots of good stuff, especially if you move to another area and don't want to entrust your baby to just ANYONE...

Thanks guys. Wouldn't you know that after I posted my question, I ran across the shop forum. I looked at the threads but there is no consensus on them, and no shop out further east on Long Island. Sorry for misadvertently posting such a question to this forum. :-)

HI...I just took my car to the Car Doctor in Southampton. I was greeted with excellent service from the two mechanics there. I saw two bad reviews but was so far impressed with how I was treated. I told them I wanted a "once over" to see if we could come up with a maintenance plan for our 22 year old SL. He said we could create a schedule etc. so we dont have to do it all at once. I will keep you posted to see what they dig up. If you have found someone, please let me know.

Thanks,
Jeff
