I agree with you!
How many mechanics can take an MB engine or transmission apart and fix it ?
Do the dealers have those type of mechanics?
Nowadays everybody wants full replacement, so if the tranny is $5,800, but the part that needs to be fixed is $300 (with labor) guess which way 99% of them will go ?
Don't take my word, experience it!!

Is Willy's still around? I can't get through on the phone.

I'm looking at a coupe in Roslyn and I'd like to have a mechanic take a look.
The car isnt registered or plated, so I need someone to look at it at the owners home.

Peter from p.g. is a no go, I'd need I get it to his shop.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

The best mechanic ever for MB.
Can be temperamental at times, but he is honest and most importantly knows his MB. New and old.

I had some work done on one of my cars by a german engineer that worked for MB in Stuttgart and he did a good job, but Willie pointed out a few things that could have been done better. He made the adjustments and my car is over 400,000 miles now...
