J&J Auto Salvage in Clifton Springs currently has a W140 and a W116 450 SEL that I recently picked from.

Wilbert's U-Pull it in Williamson, NY has a W126 500 and a W114 280 sedan, a couple W124s and some later models, including a W203 Kompressor with 6MT. They previously had a pair of W109s, a W201, and a genuine W124 AMG sedan.

Trout's in Waterloo has some older Benzes, everything from the W114 to the W126, and a few later model cars too. Most of them are pretty rusty, picked over, or badly damaged. I pulled a few parts last week, but even then, it was "slim pick'ns." Be careful because this yard is infested with deer ticks, wasps, and hornets. Wear protective clothing and lots of powerful bug repellent. Bring a saw, shovel, and a jack; these cars have trees growing out of them, and they're all stuck deep in the mud.

Wilbert's crushed most of their older Benzes, including two W108s, the W115s, and all the W114s. It's mostly W124 and up now; the yard is organized and all the cars are on jacks.

Just another update, J&J's in Clifton Springs never closed, they are owned by Northside Salvage in East Rochester and #1 Auto Salvage in Geneva. Northside Salvage has a bunch of R107 parts, and the last few times I was at J&J's, they had a variety of R107s, including a couple of Euro models. On my last visit, I found a 280SL that I picked clean, including the top and a bunch of factory stamped specialty tools that somebody left in the trunk.

Trout's in Waterloo is in the process of converting into a processing facility in the face of EPA regulations and the COVID-19 pandemic. When I was last there in the fall of 2020, they had drastically reorganized the yard and scrapped over 200 cars. The owners set aside a W114 and a W115 in the classic area, but the fate of the other cars in the yard is TBD. In the fall, they still had two W116s, including a Euro 280SE and 300SD, a handful of W123s including a 300TD, and even a nice S124. The Euro bumpers off the W116 280SE are currently on my '77 280SE.

Joe Ottati in Burdett, NY has over 600 European cars spread across his vineyard and tucked away in his wooded area along the ridge. He is not a junk yard because you must buy a car whole, but I would assert that 90% of what he has would be strictly for parts. Many of these cars are rusty, but they are often complete. Some have uncracked dashes and decent interiors, others are strong runners, despite what appearances would indicate. Many W123s, W108s, and some other oddball models. Prices start at $700/car and go up from there. There are some cars that he is particularly attached to, so be prepared for an offer higher than you expected, but he can be a fair negotiator. I have several friends who have purchased cars from him, and I have my sights set on a couple unusual cars up along the ridge in the hidden areas.

Wilbert's in Williamson just dropped a rusty but complete W126 350SDL, a much nicer W126 420SEL, a W201 190E 2.6, and a handful of later models, mostly W140 and newer. The 190E 2.6 isn't particularly rusty and has some nice interior pieces. The 350SDL interior is mostly trashed. The leather in the 420SEL is in fair condition, but I already picked the nicest trim pieces. There was a C230 Kompressor with a 6MT, the transmission was being removed while I was there but the supercharger is still present. I picked up some staggered 17" AMG Sportline wheels and 16" CLK Lightweights for my W124 and W116.

I was recently at Horseheads pick a part, and they had a fairly complete 89 300sel, mid 80's 300d (couple of them), and a 93 300e (that was picked over pretty well).
