Excellent transmission shop in Hackensack N.J

My problem was that my car (1987 300SDL) only goes into 3d and 4th under high rpm. Car starts O.K in 2nd and reverse is also fine.By switching to neutral and back to 3d, the car shifts into gear and drives effortlessly

-After spending a month talking to local trans shops and a Mercedes dealer found a genuine transmission expert in Rich Varjan.

http://www.europeanexchange.com 201-489-7770

-European Exchange is located in a 10,000 sq ft transmission shop in
Hackensack N.J. with a staff of five highly qualified transmission
technicians. Rich has been in business for over 30 years. They know Mercedes transmission in and out, and have an incredible inventory of Mercedes transmissions and related parts. Highly recommended!

- Arrived at 8:00 AM with a faulty transmission, left at 1:00 PM with a perfectly working transmission. Total cost = $374.

The work done was:

- Rebuilt and cleaned valve body. (The two screens were clean)

- Removed and checked Governor

- Resealed Kick-down solenoid and checked.

Rich said they could not pinpoint to any specific defect that caused the transmission problem

Yes, Rich Varjan rebuilt my transmission over a year ago and it runs like new ever since.

Took both of your advice on a whim and took my 560SEL to Rich. Had transmission work done and also had his shop replace both flex discs, trans mount and new shifter bushings. I Just got the car back and she runs great! I had told him to replace the rear main seal due to mileage but he stated after removing the flywheel for inspection that there was no leak whatsoever, not even any traces of oil around it so he left it as is.

I paid $2300 for the transmission rebuild, torque converter, both flex discs, trans mount, shifter bushings, labor and tax all included.
