Questions about toner
 

Printer is running low on tonber so I decided to pull out the cartridge to get the part number. When I pulled it out the cartridge is actually two pieces, a toner holder and a toner drum. The drum has a 1 inch hole in it that drops the toner into the holder as it spins. Is it ok to buy just toner and put it in the drum?

Can I pour new toner into the cartridge where the hole is?

The "holding container" simpler has a one inch hole in it that the toner falls out of. I went to buy toner today and the guy at Staples told me that there are various types & grades of the toner powder. Is this true?? The toner comes in a bottle with a tiny hose spot, filling does not look hard.
