Is It Possible for Me to Vote?!

I live in NH.
I have been very interested in Politics lately.
I know who I want to vote for.

The only problem is, I'm 17.
My birthday is on Novemeber 28.
I will not to be able to vote because of 26 lousy days.

I was told there is a way for me to vote, but I would like to save myself the trip (and embarrassment if im wrong) of going to city hall and asking.

Does anyone know if it's possible for me to be legal to vote? I really want to.

Please don't turn this into a political convo, I didn't say who I would vote for, I jsut want to know if I'll be able to.

Thanks for any help
Sam

Although it wouldn't hurt to check with your local elections office, it doesn't appear that you would qualify since you won't be 18 on or before Election day in November. BTW, we share the same birthday (along with Anna Nicole Smith, Ed Harris, Paul Shaffer, and Randy Newman), kinda nice to have turkey on your birthday every now and then, eh?

Ahh yes, the banana cream pie always doubles as B-Day Cake.

As for voting, I guess I am S.O.L.

The same sort of thing happened to me during my naturalization process. Voting was in November, I was naturalized in January. That was after a two year wait as well.

Come to Louisiana. The problem is that no matter who you vote for, and no matter how many time you vote per election, Edwin Edwards gets elected.

Bring your yellow dog.

From the US Constitution:

Amendment XXVI
Section 1. The right of citizens of the United States, who are 18 years of age or older, to vote, shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or any state on account of age.

Section 2. The Congress shall have the power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

You lose. Come back next year.

Find yourself a good lawyer. If the religious right is correct, you are actually nine months older than your birthday indicates. I'm sure you could get Scalia to write an opinion in your favor.

hmmm.........

You know, in the Muslim world the day you are born is your first birthday. Maybe you can convert and go the discrimination route. Of course, you will still have to wait until you get out of gitmo.
