I registered to vote the other day... however, on election day I will be out of the country. How would I vote as an absentee?

It probably varies by state, but in Texas you would go to the County Courthouse and pick up an absentee ballot. Since you are going to vote for Kerry, you only get one. If you were going to vote for Bush, you could pick several, one for the dog, the hamster, your late uncle, etc.

It's like we used to say in Chicago when Daley (the original Daley) was mayor: "vote early and vote often"!
