Absinth, anyone?
A friend of mine brought a bottle of absinth (70%) back from his vacation in Spain. The stuff is freely available over there since ages, but recently it has been legalized here in Holland aswell. Has anyone ever tried it? I'm looking for a good recipe to enjoy this 'green devil', and maybe take up impressionist painting aswell... ;)

Please take picture of the "trip" you take when you drink the stuff. Share 'em with the gang. :D

I tried it one, ...and it.....Su@%*.
It tasted so bad I almost barfed. I'm not a fan of licorice and anis so that might have been the cause. Louis. |
I heard it tastes awful, but the buzz is out of this world. So says Maxim magizine.

If not mistaken the French have something
simular and it's called Pastis. Same crap. http://www.2docstock.com/provence/regional%20specialties/pastis.html Louis. |

The stuff in Thailand was made or aged in wormwood. They called it "green fairy". Available in most bars in the river districts. Mild narcotic effect. Not as strong as the opium there.
So I'm told  |

had some. It was good. But then I had some funky allergic reaction to it... spots on my face started to swell. LOL. I put the bottle down, then an hr later all was well. Then we had strippers and ****...
