Maybe the mighty Republican spin machine finally screwed up. It's about time they did, I guess. Their spin has been kicking our ass for too long.

CNN just ran a fact check story on his speech, and not only was it a foaming rant, it was full of inaccuracies. It is a gold mine of future political ads. It would have been better for them if he had done it in German. I just got through watching Tucker Carlson gush over the speech, saying "frankly the "compassionate conservative" stuff turns my stomach. It was good to hear Zell tell it like it is." You betcha.

A lot of people think Buchanan, who delivered a similar rant in 1992, torpedoed Papa Bush. What is the sense of delivering a speech that is going to cause your Deep South supporters to foam all over each other? Those rednecks are the Funny Uncle of the Republican Party, who is supposed to stay hidden in the attic when company comes over. People in the Northern states, where the electoral votes are, hate that stuff. Grinning Funny Uncle has dropped his drawers in front of the guests again!

I can tell you he appealled to young male voters, he basically got up and called kerry a pussy for 30 minutes or so. Nobody else really cares, you know it I know it, Miller knows it. Not too many people are going to change or base their vote on Zell millers speech. Only people who didnt find it amusing were kerry supporters.

Cool

You can always tell when an ox is getting gored (no pun intended) by how loud he bellows, and you guys on the left sure are bellowing.

I especially enjoyed the part of the speech when the Zellster recited Kerry's voting record on defense systems

Too bad he and Chris Matthews were not in the same room, it would have pretty cool to see Zell ***** slap him like Michel Malkin should have.

I did not watch Zell speak and actually have not watched any of the conventions on the tv. I stay pretty busy with life which keeps me away from the tv for the most part. There was alot of talk here at work about his speech though.

I don't want to get an argument started that I surely do not have time to get involved in but did ya'll know that if Kerry is elected president he will be the richest president in history?

I think the bellowing you are referring to is Zell Miller.

Since when did you care about accuracy?

That Malkin lady is crazy, I saw her on Bill Maher's show a few weeks ago in which he spoke out in favor of Japanese internment during WW2 and said a few other disturbing things.

Anyway I missed Zell's speech but it sounds pretty crazy, I'm pretty ashamed that he's my senator (well sort of even though I'm in LA now) and hopefully he's left a bad taste in everyone's mouth.

Crazy or not, Matthews was off the scale rude to her and to Miller. Considering all the softballs he throws to the dems, he looses all objective credibility. Malkin makes some good points and some bad ones. She is more likely "strident" than "crazy"

Apparently you don't know bellowing from laughter. The guy didn't gore any ox of mine with the cartoonish and buffoonish show he put on. I hope he speaks once a week, and introduces Bush to every crowd.

If I was Chris, I wouldn't be worried, the only thing that pimp Zell knows how to slap is whores.
