Wow, look at this car on eBay
Link
9 days left on bidding, and it's already up to almost $6000. But look at it; have you ever seen a 1984-vintage car that clean? I mean, look at the wheels. Not my auction... just daydreaming, as it came up on my eBay email notification. Warning: the person listing the car attached a truly heinous MIDI file. I'd advise turning your speakers down or off before visiting. |

That guy has some of the best auctions on ebay, lots of photos, lots of details. Usually older MB's, he seems to like diesels. He's one of the few ebay sellers I'd feel comfortable buying from. When he posted this auction, it briefly had a "buy-it-now" of around $14,800; he took it down a few minutes later. It may have been a mistake - I don't think he seriously expects that.

Well, it's now at $7300 with 53 bids, with 9 days left on a 10-day auction... he might get that

It seems to me that the low mile/great condition 300D's actually bring a better price than the SD's of the same era.

In that auction, click on "View seller's other items" and take a look at the '82 380SL he's selling. Beautiful.

That seller always lists nice old Mercedes on ebay. I wouldn't have a problem buying from him. I wonder where he finds them all?
