I know its not a political thread, but I need your input anyway.

I need to know if you like the stock look (the first one) or the one I photoshoped (2nd one). This is what I want to do, along with some wheels. I dont have a decent source pic to 'shop on to the car though.

Edit: Anyone know why it wont let me do [img] tags around the url's of the pics?

Are you sure that tinting the front windows is legal in Arkansas?

IIRC, many states don't allow the front side windows (or the windshield) to be tinted, except in special medical circumstances...

Just FYI

Just change the rims -- leave the rest alone.

Ok, why? I like the way the darker cladding and tinted windows look. I will be putting a set of Ronal R9's with black spokes and chrome rim on it too. I really dont want to paint the rims brown. Oh, I will be adding those chrome fender things and some chrome mirror backs. The stock mirror backs look like crap right now.

But I still want to know what you think and why.

For my part, I'm just a purist. I've never liked Mercedes that didn't look stock. That's why I would only consider the rim style I posted -- stock.

The dark/light contrast reminds me of the 2-tone cars of the 1950's. Want to make your car W126 like a '56 Chevy?

BUT! I also have to agree at least a little bit with tkamiya. Heck, you could paint that sucker any color combo you wanted and give it to me and I'd still drive it, no problem. That's the car I want.

Technically, its already 2-tone. The cladding is brown. Hell, the more I look at the second one, the more I like it. Its almost mafia-ish. I always thought those Russian-Mafia w126's in the movies were really cool.

My first idea for wheels were Ronal RS's. But they mislead me in telling me that they had 5-hole mounting, when they only had 4. So, now I have the opiton for some R9's. I need a good source pic for it though.
