Don't Forget the Vets
It's neither a retail or a traditional feasting holiday, but a day of honor and rememberance for those who served.

Hey, how come nobody gives us the day off with pay? ;)
Unless you work for the Feds, or other institution, it's another day at the office. Thanks to all for remembering, though. Lots of vets aren't around to gripe in this forum. Best Regards, Jim |
as a tribute to our armed forces, i did 236 pushes while listening to the hyms of the various services, with the marine corps hym being my favorite.

Yes!
It is thanks to them that we can sit safely at our computers and freely debate things without fear of imprisonment, physical attack, retribution, etc. Verbal attacks....now that's different....they haven't figured out how to protect us from that yet! ;) Fortunately, instead of just talking, our proud veterans got up and DID something, and we are all the benficiaries. We can't thank them enough. Mike |
Thank a Vet today, and every day.

I was scanning through my DVR's list of recorded shows and I came across this one that I had completely forgotten that I had even programmed it to record on Veteran's Day HBO Last Letters Home. I haven't watched it yet, but have heard some reviews and I have to admit that I'm hesitant to cue it up. Has anyone else watched it yet?
