Its been a few years, but it was pretty well known that proper attire for that part of town included a pistol in ones right boot. Predominantly minority, drug dealers who provided curb services, hookers, about like most of central Houston. So, you think your tough or something? My hommies make you Liberty City Florida boys look like a bunch of latte drinking dress designers. The Ward 6 boys will cut of your heads and piss in your skulls.

Uh oh... I can't decide whether to post my e-penis graphic or my pissing contest pic. Keep talking, so I and my Duluth homies can pick one.

I think I mentioned this before, but I do volunteer work a few hours a week teaching handicapped kids in that part of town MS Office skills so they can get a job. The vast majority of them are black kids in a wheel chair from gunshot wounds. One interesting side note, when they talk about the various gang environments, most of them say the gangs in Atlanta are the most feared black gangs in the country, and that life is very cheap in the bad part of that town.

Texas? Mexican Mafia gangs. Bad boys. Where ever there is a lot of smack, a lot of people are going to get killed. It comes in there and then heads to Houston, then to points north.

Oh yeah, Liberty City. I remember it vaguely. Was it...zip code 33169? A (thankfully) small piece of it was my "beat" when I was an IRS Revenue Officer in Miami back in 1977-78. I could have been killed (or worse)

Boy- talk about a poor career/personality fit. It takes a pretty agressive SOB to be a Revenue Officer. I am anything but that.

I did an IT contract job with a bunch of them once. What a fun bunch of guys and gals. The boss reminded me of Brando in "The Godfather". The front line officers would bring him little case summaries, a few words would be whispered, and some poor SOB's life was either going down the drain or about to get a lot better, usually the former. I remember walking down the hallway where all the little glass conference rooms were, where the targets awaited their fates. They all shared the same facial characteristics - blanche white, and a mixture of shock and worry. The female ROs were the meanest, nastiest circling harpies I ever met in my life, and hey, if any of you are reading this, I meant that in a nice way.

Well one thing about working in an RO, ever since then my tax filings have been impeccable. Its amazing what seeing fully grown men cry like babies as they are led off in handcuffs will do for your attitude. We used to joke about what it would be like being married to one of those gals. "Have a nice day at the office dear?" "No it was slow today, I only got to ruin three people's lives - I felt sorry for one of them, but I sold his children into slavery anyway, to make my nut for the month." The place really was a trip. They all gathered for coffee in the morning, had a few laughs, and then would storm out of the breakroom with clenched teeth, go into these little glass room, and start screaming at people who then started to cry. Ever since then, I pay my taxes to the penny. rs899 sounds like he was one of the field guys, who drive around all day seizing property. I bet that was a fun job in Liberty City.

Yup- that was me, a field guy. Levied bank accounts and siezed property. Actually I was just a trainee and I was so good at it I was let go within 10 months. A lot of it was just trying to straighten out IRS computer errors. One saw a lot of down and out people in that profession. As well as a lot of crooks who borrowed their employee's income tax withholdings to finance their failing businesses. Those were the people the IRS came down on the hardest. Individual taxpayers who owed money but had no means to pay it were usually more or less forgiven. It was dangerous work - working alone- no weapon - stressed out crazies....

But that was almost 30 years ago- back when the W123 was just launched....

Liberty city is no doubt a ****hole!

Years ago, it was the place to be in Miami.

There is a huge transformation going on with a Performing Arts center being built on the outer fringes of it. Still gotta be careful wandering to the center of it though.

Drive fast, answer questions later.

My cousin has a body shop near there and has been incident free for the most part for 20 years now.
