Are you Mercedesshop.com ambassador?

When you meet other Mercedes owners and/or
enthusists/technicians do you tell them about our 'shop'?? Do you tell them who you are and try to get them to tune in?

I have told potential Benz buyers to check "us" out. I have 2 friends that want a Benz, and I told them to check in here for all the gory details of owning and maintaining a Benz.

While selling on ebay, its great to refer people to how to install some parts and I know of a few that actually became members afterward.

But on some days, I do walk around with a big sign with mercedesshop.com on it. Although, camping out by a road and telling people of a speed trap ahead is more fun.

If I were, I would tell them to avoid the Open Discussion forum unless they like headaches.

I think that every possible problem that an MB can have from headlight fuses to broken camshafts has been discussed and the common problems dozens of times with all the new members coming onboard .So if you MB or MB's are running fine (knock on burl walnut) then it's fun to hang out with all the nare-do wells in the basement........

Told my neighbor about it. Three months later they went for the European Delivery and came home with a C320 4Matic Station Wagon.

He even gave me the European plate from his car for my SL

I've told a few folks, but, not surprisingly the most frequent visitors I know of are from the local MB dealership. I've been to the parts dept a few times to see any number of the forums on their screen, with 2 or 3 people -- tech and other staff -- talking about the topics.

Mr. Narwhal .....No...I'm a Real Estate Broker/Developer. Over the years I've been referred to as "the Mad Hatter" which is short for part of my last name. I just wanted to get the domain name established for possible future use.

Thumbs up ABSOLUTELY!

Sometimes I will even "pull over" some unsuspecting diesel "oilburner" driving stranger. I then procede to ask them if they have access to or ever use a computer. Oftentimes, they seem to be somewhat startled. SO...I begin the conversation about their diesel etc......this process can take place in a VERY SHORT amount of time....ie: at a stoplight etc.
I am thinking about printing up some cards with the MBSHOP logo and my "handle" on them. This will probably simplify the process.
After I first visited this site, it was a couple of YEARS before I actually posted.
I do wonder if any of those unsuspecting folks out there have even registered. I do know for a fact thyat at least ONE fellow that I know has registered and posted on the vintage site.
Best wishes always, and lets keep those diesels burning!
spo out
