You commented on a bond between the left and the right.I've said it for years. The common goal of the two parties is to keep free thinking trouble making parties out of the game. Big organizations like the drug industry put money in the pockets of both partys with no concern as to who wins as long as it isn't an outsider from some other party who could screw things up for them. It is interesting how our representitives spend so much of our money to fight illegal drugs, and yet take in so much campaign money from the drug industry to assure FDA approval of new drugs to keep us doped up legally. I have made almost 60 trips around the sun, and can't ever remember as many ads as you see today about pills you should ask your doctor about prescribing. Instead of your doctor checking your symptoms and prescribing medication, the drug companies want you to tell the doctor about your concerns and these are the pills you want.

If I read you right, we were thinking the same thing. Insurance companies can use this information to see if the miles you report and areas you drive in are what you told them. I believe that in another thread someone brought up the fact that AAA donates radar guns to police departments. I can't confirm, but I find the accusation believable.
