Good documentaries (Control Room and others)
My favorite documentary is Troublesome Creek, A Midwestern. It is about the end of a family farm in the Midwest. The filmaker grew up on the farm and went away to college. After college she came home and did documentary about her family and their farm. It is very informative. Parts of it are funny, and parts of it are real tear jerkers. I almost started bawling when they auctioned off her father's herd. Great movie, I recommend it highly.
Anyone else have any good documentaries to recommend? |
"Roger and me". I really liked that one. Its sequel wan't that good.

I liked both of those. My favorite (I think) is the 7up, 14 up.....49up series by Micheal Apted. He has followed a group of British children since they were 7 (late 50's or early 60's). Every 7 years he goes back and interviews them again. A fascinating journey through class and psychological development. It puts a serious dent in claims to human freedom.
