Maybe Having a Bad Cruise Control Amp is a Good Thing
Phoenix official dies after jumping or falling from car going 60 mph
The city of Phoenix’s longtime finance director died in Scottsdale after falling or jumping from a moving car. Witnesses told police that Kevin Keogh, 55, climbed onto the top of his moving Mercedes-Benz, stretched out his arms and then jumped or fell from the car on Wednesday. The car continued driverless until it crashed into another car. No one else was injured. Investigators don’t yet know whether the death was intentional, but the cruise control was apparently set at 50 mph. The medical examiner will determine if drugs or alcohol were involved. |
Maybe my collection of used cruise amps can be sold to others wishing to recreate Leonardo's famous scene from Titanic.

The story on the news tonight was that he had contracted some kind of parasitic disease in Mexico a few years ago - apparently a degenerative disease that affected the left frontal brain lobe and "impaired judgement". Also said that the cruise control had been set at 60 - a clear sign of judgement impairment. Most people would know that you can't climb on the roof of your car with the cruise control set over 30 or 40. But thankfully he was able to function as the CFO of the city of Phoenix until the very end. One of the strangest stories I've ever heard. I actually got caught in the related traffic jamb. Another reason not to go to Mexico.

If you hear the name of that disease, I would be interested.

And the latest estimate is that he was going 50 mph, although when you're riding on the roof of your car, and you're also the driver, it probably doesn't matter a whole lot whether you're going 50 or 60. |
