My sister(nurse) got her best friend into a nursing programa at a local hospital. That's the good news. The bad news is that upon appying for work at a nursing home, she was denied employment because she apparently has been arrested 15 times by the feds. She found this out thru a mutual friend who works at the nursing home. That info was not supposed to get out, only that the employment was denied. This mutual friend is the one who suggested she start working in the medical field to get her feet wet.

I know she's never been arrested as I have known her for 20 some odd years.

What can she do to clear this up? Quite a setback for an aspiring nurse.

First get credit reports from all three agencies.....if anything wrong turns up file a fraud alert and write contesting every one of the things that is not her.

COntact police.....

and might be a good idea to get a lawyer.

About 17 years ago, I applied for a car loan and was denied. Seems that I had several repossesions on my credit file(s).

After going to various banks and writing several letters I was able to determine that they were incorrectly reporting my cousin's info(same name, almost same age) under my credit file.

What a pain in the ass that was. I had to carry around the letters from the 2 different banks every time I tried to apply for car loan. That nonsense lasted for about 18 mos.

I lived in Newark at the time and I had 3 cars stolen in those 18 mos, hence the need to buy so many cars.

Never had one stolen here in Miami though. Low crime rate I guess.
