Annual living expenses
Since it's pretty quiet in the office today. I decided to cumulate the totals of all my known living expenses for the upcoming year. To my suprise it is extremely low. I quess it's the unforeseen expenses that get you. Of course on the other hand we also have unforeseen Income. Ie; Gifts, Christmas bonus etc. Again this is a total of all my known expenses.--House payment, property tax, home and auto insurance, vehicle gas est., water, power est., sewer, cable and student loan (almost done yeah!). My grand total $14,196 . Was wondering if any of you would like to share...I'm sure we have a wide array to cover the spectrum here.

Quiet here as well (dead more like it). The essentials of life Mortgage, Insurance (car/house/prof.), Prop Tax, Cable, Telephone, DSL ,Car, Water, Garbage,Electric looks like $31,632 est for '05. Does not include food, 1 in college, or repairs to Gravely Tractors or 1 '86 SDL , or unexpected gifts to other half when I mess up!

I actually factor in "savings" into my budget. That said, I run about $6K monthly.

I don't even compute my monthly expenses, I take a glimpse at quicken every now and then after I get done I cancel my subscription to the Playboy channel and return my empty bottles instead of giving them to the neigborhood kids. After that hour passes it's back to ol work and spend.

It depends on whether that guy down at the bar can get me a hitman for my ex. Man I hope that guy's not a cop.

I found the best way to deal with bitter break up feelings Kirk is to take up a hobby when your left holding the bag. For example I took up wood carving. I built the nicest coffin you have ever seen for that little bi#ch!

Property Taxes: $275/month
Heating: $100 Electricity: $125 Life Insurance (additional): $23 Car Insurance: $133 Internet/Cable: $85 Telephone: $55 Long Distance: $25 Cell Phones: $25 Water/Sewage: $75 Total monthly obligations: $921 or $11,052 per annum. Before paying off the house, our mortgage payment was $912.00, so we spent $21,996 per year on must-be-paid-bills. Additional items: Retirement savings: $1800 pre month / $21,600 per year Car replacement account: $1000 per month / $12,000 per year Total: $11,052 + $21,600 + $12,000 = $44,652. On top of that is gasoline, food, clothes, etc. Including upgrading the house, other savings (education), and all spending, we churn through about $65,000 per annum in total. That typically includes some sort of reasonably large item like something kinda big for the house, or a motorcycle. One year we did the kitchen, another we put in slate/hardwood. We do not debt finance anything anymore. No cash = no buy it. We are completely debt free and intend to remain that way.
