Help!!! Ants have invaded my garage.

Hello,

While moving some boxes in my garage, I saw a sight guaranteed to give any homeowner bowel convulsions . I saw a crack in the concrete between the wall and the ground and there was a lot of red dirt around it, it seems like there are ants under my house and they are excavating the soil from under the house.

Does any one have any suggestions on how I can stop this invasion or fix the problem. The house is only three years old, I don't know if the 10 year warranty thing would cover this.

Thanks for any advice you can give.

Terro ant killer, put a few gob's around the nest and those suckers will be back to hell in less than 24 hours, it kills the whole nest.

If the crack is wide enough, you can spray some expanding foam sealent in it after you treated it with "ant killer". I doubt that the ants are capable of disturbing the foundation of your house.

In Texas, we used to have problems with Pharaoh ants.. these suckers would never leave. But after a long fight, they eventually left. Find out what kind of ants.. apparently these pharaoh ants were hard to get rid of because the majority stay in the nest, and can divide their colonies at any time... resulting in them being all over the place.

Ditto the Terro.
Spray ant killer just kills the ones you can see and makes the rest find another path to lunch.
Terro is a bit sticky so put it on cardboard so you can toss the dead ones easily.
I had problems with OHA, (odorous house ants) the ones that smell like coconut when you squish ‘em. Redi-National came out, sprayed the outside and put traps around the inside. What did they bait the traps with? Terro. Ants all gone now.
