Fair price for a rebuilt 1999 C230 Kompressor
Hi.
I am looking to buy a 1999 C230 Kompressor and it just so happens that my fried (kinda a person I know, father of a friend) who is into fixing cars (small business) for a living has one for sale. He is in the business of buying cars from impactauto.ca (they have auctions all over Canada) (usually, mostly all cars are after some kind of an accident) repairing them and then selling them. He usually sticks with cars that are no more than 2-3 years old. I think he got this C230 some time ago and kept it for himself. I know the car was in a front end collision, up to the rad. So all parts up to the radiator(s), may be even the radiator(s)) were replaced, I guess the engine was untouched. I am wondering if anyone can give me their opinion of what would be a fair price to pay for this type of a vehicle: 1999 C230 Kompressor 120000 km. No alloy wheels, no power driver seat, if I didn't look closely under the hood I couldn't tell that anything was done to it, it drives straight and I didn't notice any weirdness at high speeds or during hard acceleration, breaking or turning. I guess the second part of my question is; if I was trying to resell this vehicle in a couple of years what kind of resistance could I encounter from the potential buyer (how much below the market, compared with vehicle with good/excellent history) Thanks, Christopher, Ottawa. |
