I stumbled across this 500e auction. The reserve is already met at $8.6k. It only has 14 hours left. I doubt it will stay this low, but maybe it will sneak by. Could be a really good deal for somebody. Just figured I'd let the forum know.

Holy crap I wish I had $8,000 sitting around! That car is located just up the stree from me! I could drive up there with a check and drive away in my dream car. Oh well.

If that thing is still reasonable I might buy it, I'm feeling a bit sassy today.

I think its up to $8,860 and only 1 1/2 hours to go! But it will need paint and a bit of work. Still if you can get it for $9k and then put $3k-$4k into it.

My only concern is it seems like a kid was given dad's car. So it could have been driven very hard and not tacken care of to well. The aftermarket amp in the trunk isn't a good sign.

$11k could be a deal or it could be a money pit. I bet whoever bought it puts $3k-$4k into it the first year. Still about $15k for a nice E500 isn't bad at all.
