BB, Dave Morrison (on DD) flies the MD-80 for A/A. Sometimes he posts here, but it's rare.

Look at that. Not that rare.

I was just wondering! I've dreamed for years about flying and would love to persue this venture. My friend would take me up in his cessna 172 and very often I took the controls and flew it, but didn't take off, or land it! It was a lot of fun!

Well

Taking off isn't that difficult, and neither is landing on a calm cool day. But add a crosswind, wife screaming she has to pee, and kids puking in the backseat, and you'll learn why they say "nothing humbles a man like an airplane."

That's got to be the funniest thing I heard all day. And, yes, I can imagine that it takes a man with nerves of steel to put up with a complaining wife, puking kids, and a crosswind all at the same time.
