You poor, pathetic, jealous Boilermakers folks. Don't fret the General -- he can't whoop on you any more! Hoosier daddy?

All you ACC folks better rally 'round the Tar Heels! Three Big 10 teams to the Elite Eight -- shocking!

I'm a bit relived after MSU's win over Duke, I consider the season a success at this point the rest is just a bonus and my bracket ain't lookin too shabby either. |

Wow... WHAT A WEEKEND! Can you believe that Illini comeback? That game tied for the most exciting sporting event I have ever seen. Granted, my team won, but you can't dismiss the moxie they showed to pull that out!
Wish Wisconsin had the same luck... oh well. I'll take 2 Big 10 teams in the final four. Weak conference? Ha!

A couple or three strong teams at the top doesn't negate Northwestern, Penn St., Purdue, MI, etc. In the Big 10's heyday, 6, 7, even 8 teams were considered for the tourney. A few years back, Indiana, Michigan, Michigan St. would have all challenged for the Big 10 championship no matter how good Illinois was.
In any case, some writers are calling that game the greatest comeback in NCAA Tournament history. It was an astonishing, breathtaking game -- I've never seen its like (I'm also a lifelong Cubs fan, so I'm not used to winning). Next up, Illinois's home away from home -- St. Louis, where they play every year. They and Louisville should have very strong fan support. Let's keep it going! |

I'm a Cubs fan too... not to change the subject, but how are the Borowski/Wood/Prior injuries sitting with you? And to think that we let Clement get away. Man, I hope they get it together this year. Chris

My favorite part of the whole MSU-Kentucky game was discrediting Billy Packer, he kept on cheering on the come back cats even though they only came back from 8 point in 2 minutes.
Sports writers and announcers bug me in the worst way. |
