aux water pump to heat a tractor cab?

I,m building a homemade heating system to heat my tractor cab.does anyone experienced with these pumps think they have enough power to lift coolant 6 ft. & circulate the coolant thru the cab radiator and back to the engine? or do I have to buy one of those hi priced rv or bus heater pumps?any help would be greately appreciated.Thank yoy,Mike Tobey

Lift doesn't really matter in a closed system where the water is returned to the same place, at the same level, except to prime it.

thanks jim..what about flow rate?

The pumps I've seen for this application are usually rated at about 4 gal/min & low psi (like 10psi) do you or anyone think the mercedes aux pump performs in a roughly similar capacity?I can locate it on the frame below the engine, so that should take care of the priming via gravity, correct? thanks, michael

Try an aux pump from a W124 or W126.

Do you even need a pump? You didn't provide any details, but if you are tapping into existing connections for a heater, I bet the cooling system circulation will work fine. The auxilary pumps in MBs are for slow speed running, only.
Try this, with no heater core, just route a length a heater hose as you plan, and see if it gets hot to the touch as you run your tractor. If it gets hot, then just cut the hose and install the heater core and you are done.
