anyone here have a pet bird?
Alright, so i've got this pet lovebird, had him since i was in about 5th grade(i'm 21 now). I had to leave him at the house for a couple years while i lived at the dorms, but now that i have an apartment i decided to bring him back up. When i first brought him up he was still very very tame, flew to me, liked being on my shoulder etc, but it seems he is becoming increasingly less and less tame. This has me puzzled, i'm thinking about clipping his wings again(has worked in the past with differant birds), but i hate taking away the only real ability an animal has to get around just to get them to be tame again. Any input? The bird doesn't bite at all, and seems very happy. He is allowed out of his cage for at least a 2 hours daily, i just dont understand why he keeps flying way from me now when i approach him. Any ideas?
Ryan

I don't have an asnwer for you, but, man, I'm just really into humor this week.
So, maybe, this will brighten your day. Read it to your lovebird. It may help. http://www.thespoof.com/news/spoof.cfm?headline=s4i7772 I thought it was funny. Do U have any humor sites? |

the bird must not be used to you again. you said that you were not around it much for a while... you might have to get re-aquainted... i'd clip his wings for now till he/she gets used to you again..
