argh! screwed again on Ebay!!!

This Ebay auction was the first model of a 300E that I have ever seen. I wanted this thing so bad. I got outbid by a pound with 6 seconds left. My computer is not fast enough to compete with these last minute bidders. This makes me so angry. I would have paid more, too. the same thing happened two other times with 500E models.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6957760804&ssPageName=ADME:X:ON:MT:2

Anyone know someplace I can get one of these, or any W124 models for that matter?

Please tell me you're not manually typing in bids . . . use a "bidding sniper"

what is that? I know that Ebay bids up to a certain amount automatically for you. Is this what your talking about?

I use it all the time on the "high profile" auctions.

There are many to choose from.

Just a dumb question - If you would have paid more, why not bid your max?
BTW - I use snipping software too. But if I know I can't leave my PC on during the last minutes of the auction, I just bid my max and what will be - will be.

well, would have and wanted to are two different things. I felt this other bidder out for a few days, and the price just kept rising in the process. I figured I was a shoe-in with 10 seconds left. Guess I was wrong.

There's always a risk in "bidding your max" early . . . there are some unscrupulous folks that will test your bid, bidding to see how far your limit is, which would result in a higher price than you might have paid if you just used a sniper at the last few seconds.

Snipping software with a fast pc and a fast connection are best for sure.

AuctionSniper works whether your computer is on or not. I use it and it works great, even up to 2 seconds before the auction ends.

exactly MTI. I already felt that the price was quite inflated because we bid back and forth the past few days.

Another lesson learned at Mercedesshop. I think I learn more here than in College.
