Hi folks.....Hoping not to bore you.....

I am about to sell my 124.
I have serviced this car since 1995....The owner came to me because MB had washed their collective hands of it because in summer it would puke
coolant. MB put on a new head after changing out the h/gasket twice and replacing the thermostat and radiator too.

The overheating was one of the auxillary fans had seized

After I fitted a new fan hub ( Weeping fluid.) and fan brushes,(Worn positive brush.) the car never overheated again.

I bought the car in 1999/2000, can't remember exactly.....at 145000 miles.
All the time the first owner had it, I serviced it with only synthetic oils and OE filters.

Won't bore you with the details of why I bought it or why I am selling it now,
but after new tyres and top end overhaul, along with brakes and new windshield, I am going to sell it and offer : 2 year warranty, bumper to bumper and full servicing....

The proviso's are : Local buyer only and paid in full.

Having read of other cars fetching $7,500.00...what is a good price to ask ?

I do not wish to be greedy and am hoping to sell it to someone who would like to own a Mercedes, but is scared of the cost of running one.

just go give you a guide line, i bought my 120000 odd mile 300E for $3800 from the original owner.

at a mechanics i saw a 92 300E going for $4000, that was in much better condition than mine, and had lower milage.
