Hardwired car phones? Anymore around?

So, my 300 used to have the hardwired car phone; you know the ones...Does anyone sell these anymore? I know its a bit anachronistic, but I think it would be a riot to have one. Any thoughts? Ebay is hard to search for something so particular.

My 300 had one - but useless as it was analog and no longer compaitble. Still have the microphone but phone went to landfill.

The 190 that I just sold had one. It was sweet, but it was analog. I bet you can find one on ebay. If I had a pre-1993 benz, that would be the first mod I would do, even if it didn't work.

All I see knowadays are the bolt holes left from where the cradles used to reside...

Yeah, looking on ebay you end up getting a lot of "car phones" that are really hands free cradles or bluetooth sort of deals. I'll throw in analog and see what I get. Maybe I can get a "vintage" look with modern cell service.

I bought a 99 W140 last year and was able to get the OKI analog phone that is built into the car activated. It took a knowledgeable cell phone tech rep to go through the "back door" of the system to get it working. Analog is still around on the original cell phone providers.

I've been in the Wireless Industry for 12 years - you'd be wasting your time trying to find one. The technolgy has developed so much over the last few years, you'd get this unit, spend time installing it, and then wonder why it didn't work or why it sounded soooo bad. Bluetooth is great, but the solution is out these w/o buying a 10 year old phone.
