Know what an antique sewing machine or the paper from Kennedy's assasination worth?

I found an old sewing machine in my mom's basement. After cleaning it, I noticed the patent dated 1891. It's been sitting around for years and I did cut off the power cord and foot pedal so it would easily sit on top of a little bookshef as a decorative item.

I'd never sell it-- unless it was priceless.

Any guess what it's worth?

WHILE I'M AT IT:

I also have the Washington Post from the day Kennedy was shot. Obviously been sitting on a shelf for forty years, but not too terribly beat up. Any idea its worth?

What kind of sewing machine, brand, condition, etc? I've heard there are collectors of old Singer sewing machines.

As for the paper, I found these on ebay...

BTW, patent numbers were cast into the metal molds which were used for decades after that, so the patent date on the item isn't a very good "birth certificate." I used to be interested in antique typewriters and they have the same issues.
