Samorost good game

Samorost has been out for some time — it’s a fun game. Some call it part art and part game.

There are no instructions. Simply click on features within the scene to advance. You’ll know when you’ve reached the end. Only things required are Macromedia Flash and some time on your hands.

Enjoy!

Really tried, but it's over my head.

No other game players? I'm surprised! I literally started about 2 weeks ago with another game. It was a fun diversion and have taken the spare moment here and there to goof around.

The first time I tried this one was at the end of the day, I was tired and didn't make it past the 2nd session. I tried a couple of days later and completed the game. The game is pretty easy and the trick is to click around, note how stuff works, and encourage a sequence of events. A key element is waiting for the events to occur once you know what might happen

Also this game is half extraordinary art work and half logic. It’s only about 6 scenes long.

Yes, Samorost has been around for quite a while. Here's another game quite like it: http://www.questfortherest.com/ (you may or may not have to hit a Replay button to start the game).

Thanks. That was fun! The graphics they use in the examples above are awesome! I'm blown away by the skills it takes to create this stuff. The music in the latter example is really good, too, kind of like Yes but with more a new age spin rather than prog rock.

Curse you Ted! The Evans/Davis tidbit got me to click the link and suck up a half hour of my precious time--you just made my list.
