You guys are skirting on the edge of big trouble, here. Next thing you know you'll be stereotyping with "plank-walking", "peg-legs" and "parrots". Pirates have feelings, too. Wait until the Pirate-Americans catch wind of your abusive, mean-spirited language. You'll be in deep doo-doo.

Ted Kennedy didn't do jail time for DWI , killing the woman....or leaving the scene of th accident..........

You can blame that on the lawyers...and the Liberal illuminatti who think the law is for the little guy and not them.............

My father until the day he died never owned a Jap car............

My dad told me once he "spent more'n a year in a foxhole keepin' a Jap from climbing down his neck," and he had 3 or 4 Japanese pickups about 40-50 years later. Took him a while to get to that point, though. I'm not trying to put your dad down. Differnt folks, differnt strokes.

He had two swords under his bed when I was a kid. One of 'em had a hand protector, sort of cheap looking pirate's sword. The other was a genuine Samurai sword, sharp as hell, with a fancy scabbord. Never did tell me what he did with it, but it's gone.

Oh, BTW, I'm getting confused... Is this albatross around my neck named Kennedy, Clinton, or Rather? It's hard to keep up...

Well, that's the point Doc. When conservatives can't debate themselves out of a pickle onna account of their position being flimsy and unsupportable, they invoke the albatross clause of the Republican playbook.

"Teddy, Bill, or Dan": ipso fatso, your argument is incorrect, you liberal fool.

He ain't a conservative any more than H2O2 is or I am. Bone claims teh label but only agrees with conservatism on a couple of issues, like me, but Bone and I also disagree with each other as much as we disagree with H2O2. Bone is a nationalist-socialist. He wants to provide universal benefits to the working class from corporate profits and control the wealth of rich people through governmental intervention. He likes controlled markets, protectionist trade policy, and nationalization of major industries. On these issues he is no conservative nor libertarian. He's a socialist.

OTOH, he is for increased privacy rights, gun ownership, 1st amendment protection, less environmental regulation, lower taxes and support of the war in Iraq. These attributes put him in and out of various party and movement line-ups.

The only thing that makes him a conservative is his self-description.

In contrast, I want deregulation of most industry labor laws (for example, kill the ADA and most other 'protections' of special classes of Americans), free trade, minimal taxation, increased 1st amendment protections and general expansion of constitutional guarantees of personal liberty and ownership, a return to federalism (as compared to centralization of power in the national gov, think Canada), open borders with Mex and CA (trade and immigration), increased environmental regulation on states, communities and businesses, deletion/consolidation of the federal departments of Labor, Education, Commerce, Interior, HUD, VA, DOT, DHS, and HHS. I want increased state and local control of gov functions, including taxation concomitant with decreased national gov control. I support the war.

Only thing that makes me a conservative is support of the war.

As a lucky privileged lad we had a sailboat in the British Virgin Islands and as a family we read Treasure Island the day before we snorkeled into the caves that R.L. Stevenson wrote about in the very same place he wrote the book.

I must say that it's one of the most memorable experiences I've ever had.
