Mr. MB Motors Plaque - for those who wanted to chime in.. - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

Hey guys,

I know several of us have been wanting to do a plaque for Enrique of Mr. MB Motors, and I have the pieces together and it is coming along.

I am going to get the nameplates made, so I need those of you that wanted to go in on this with me to chime in with your name, and car model and year for the plaque.

I have the wood piece for the plaque and the 17mm Snap-on open ended wrench ready to go, I'll be picking up an MB star for the plaque and want to organize with my trophy guy the name plates.

Something like this for the name plates for each person who is contributing to this:

The plaque plates will be I guess brass or whatever that goldish color is with black text. The name and model and year will be larger and the one liner will be smaller on them.

I want to get a final head count and all the info so I can finalize the price for us to split for those that wish to do so.

So far I am in it around $50.00 for the wrench and the wood plaque piece, and I am not sure how much the trophy guy will charge for the plates, and havent priced the MB star yet for it, but I can get that at wholesale fromt he dealer or I will order it from our man Phil the Partsman.

Gilly, can you make this a sticky temoprarily?

P.S. to counselor Paul: verbosity becomes your trade/profession (and priests too, for that matter) but might be a tad tight on a plaque.

I havent yet figured out how much the plaque engravings will be, and the size. it all depends on how many people.

I would think that once I have what each person wants to say, I can then take that to my trophy guy and we can figure out font sizes and how many lines.

So include your location as well then and I will see if we can fit that too.

Out of pocket so far I have spent about $50.00 like I said, but I wont know the total cost of this project until I find out about the engraving plaques for the piece. MB star I an get cheap so thats a non issue.

I don;t think everyone would need to chip in $50.00 lets wait and see what the total will be then I will start taking in contributions if people want to contribute.
