Maxam knives

What do you know about Maxam knives in terms of durability, etc?

I bought a box of them at a fishing supply store that was going out of business. They worked OK they didn't hold a blade for too long when gutting deer and sharpened so-so. But for a $10-20 knife I guess they worked alright.

I think they use 529 Steel which is the same you would find on the Buck-Lite.

but after I googled them I noticed that they have an upper line and they look very nice.

I'm betting on MedMech's opinion here.

But can they saw a beer can in half and then slice a tomato paper thin? :D

My favorite knife is a sharp one that's available when I need it. I don't care if it's a razor sharp p-38 if it's the only sharp knife I have it's the best on earth.

Never heard of them. I have a couple of spiderco knives. Are they any good?
