neighbor's flood light causing problems
The over protective wierd neighbors recently put on a garage door light, the two bulbs pointing in opposite direction infront of the garage doors, with a sensor. the problem is the bulbs are probably a 1000 watt each and they have them pointed away from their own drive way directly towards our drive way where we park. at night when I park the car, the sensor ( they have that pointed towards our drive way as well.. yes i know they're wierd), turns on that flood light and literaally blinds the person who is driving trying to park the car.
I dont want to be impolite, but it's becoming a concern. Given that it's their property where they have the lights mounted, what can be done in this instance ? |
A neighbor of mine had a similar problem, this is how he dealt with it.......http://www.antonnews.com/oysterbayenterprisepilot/2005/05/20/news/

would I be committing a crime if i just went to his driveway and adjusted it downwards ? :)
|
hmm ok good point. I guess I'll just talk to them then.

Consult MedMech in regard to the proper firearm required to eliminate said lights without damaging immediate surroundings.

Do you get along with your neighbors? If so, just ask them to adjust them.
Some folks make enhancements to their property and give little credence to the affect on adjecent homes...be it a house pet who barks incessently, gawdy yard art, or stadium lighting! |

If they won't..... IMO You have to pick your battles in situations like these. They (the neighbors) might be around a long time. |

but ask the neighbor before you shoot, ammo ain't cheap ya know. :) |

If the flood light shines in a bedroom window at 3am then you have an issue you could go after them on with the authorities also.... |

just ask him
And if that doesn't work, you can strategically place mirrors in your yard to shine in your neighbors bedroom window, so that whenever the lights turn on, he gets lit up!

You could Borrow a Dodge truck with a Cummins deiesel and warm it up about an hour after they go to sleep....cough...cough .to make a trip to the 7-11 of course....
