I'm thinking of buying a 2000 E430 4matic with 75,000 mi. I really don't know much about the V8 engine and AWD reliability. Any info. good or bad would help.

I've had a 2000 430 4matic for three years... now has 83,000 miles and it has been great. I've had a lightbulb go out and the radio died, but that's it. The car is an absolute champ in the snow. I live in Wisconsin and have gone through some pretty deep stuff. All in all I'm very pleased. I usually don't keep a car for more than a couple of years but I'm so happy with this one I'm going to take really good care of it and keep it indefinitely. Of course I can't make any guarantees for what you may find so take this as one data point.
