Arggghhhhh! F@#%#!!!!!!

I don't know how it happened...just so clumsy...mumble mumble glub glub....

I found my Kingston 256 SD card floating in my almost empty mug of soda. In a panic I stuck my hand in the mug to retrieve the card, but in my haste I probably submerged it and made it even more wet. I quickly wiped it dry and went to the bathroom to moisten my finger with some water and then dabbed some water on the copper part to cleanse it of any soda. After letting it dry for a minute or two, I tested the card and it works! Do you guys think there could be any unforseen problems or long-term problems that might spring up later? I'm afraid moisture might have seeped through the joints and the exposed part of the connecting end. I'm just really ticked and I felt like smashing the mug onto the cement! Why do I do this to myself?

It happens, if it works it might go until it dies it's natural death. If you need a new one Comp USA has 1GB SD's on sale for $75

If you got the soda off of it you should be fine. In fact I think the ascorbic acid probably cleaned the contacts! As long as it's dry you're fine. The conductivity should be nil when it's dry.

I ran my USB pen drive through the washer AND dryer accidentally and it still works. It even retained the data when I found out what I did
