If I want to listen to dribble about the RNC or the DNC then.....I can go else where........but if I want to hear dribble about a Merc or a newbie Merc owner then I can come here.

Most of us who like political discussions already move on to Benzworld because of people like you. This was once the best forum on the entire internet in my opinion. The predominance of political discussion changed to political haranguing and then got forcibly evicted and moved over to that other forum. Folks who liked that crap missed it desparately and immediately redecorated that otehr forum to their liking. Some wanted it back over here for various reasons.

The door was opened a crack over here after the Great Exodus and the haranguing started immediately, at which point the Mod harvested a bunch of personalities. They have almost all moved entirely over there. And yes I visit that site when I want to harangue or troll or be harangued and trolled. But you gotta wear your best Nomex undies.

Yeah, we still talk politics ocassionally here, but it no longer overwhelms every thread and no longer ends in folks calling each other commies and nazis and socialist and fascists and stupid, etc. About the worst you'll see is somebody saying ugly things about "liberals" whatever they are. If you like that, then by all means go to the other board where you'll find a happy home among like-minded folks.

Since you're new, you have no idea about the history of this place. You can read through previous posts to see what other folks find interesting. Maybe you could start a thread about M-B things that haven't much to do with the other forums here.
