I'm afraid I've turned into the type of person that I once hated, a militant EX -smoker. Once I quit, two other people at work quit with me, so that was pretty cool. I had to get a new car because I couldn't stand the smell of the old one. My house smells better, but I had to get some new furnishings, scrub down the walls, have the carpet cleaned a couple times. Fabreeze can only do so much.

But to keep with the topic of the thread, I smoked Doral Full Flavor 100's and Marlboro Red 100's. A pack a day.
That's OK, I'm a militant "never-been-a-smoker".

Nasty, revolting, deadly habit.

My uncle used to smoke between one and two packs of Pall Mall's a day..... He has spent the past 5 years of his life on an oxygen machine 24/7, and can't walk from one room of his house to the next without being severly out of breath. Nice, eh?

Guys und Gals, here's my take on this...a piece I posted earlier, but it really seems to hit home on this thread.

http://www.thespoof.com/news/spoof.cfm?headline=s8i7667

It is a really bad...and deadly...habit. I, too, used to smoke, but I haven't for over 12 years.

Mine was the good old, red Winston soft pack.

It's a fuuny thing that while those of us who stopped know it was bad for us we remember so fondly those smokin' daze. Talk about a strong habit!

Heck, I'm fond. 16 hour work days and heart disease. Yep a definite warm fuzzy feeling right where it counts.

Yup -- same brand -- I quit 3½ years ago. If I ever find myself driving home after being told I have a few weeks or months to live, I'll pick up a couple of cartons on the way home. God, I loved smoking!

Its hard not smoking in Europe... seems as though EVERYONE smokes.. but all the smokers in the family are 6 feet under. I don't want to be a statistic just yet.

I would suggest that you all quit. I just found out this week that my wife's sister has lung cancer, in stage 3. Not a good outlook for her. Cause: Smoking.

Howdy All,
I tried a cig once when I was about 8.....never again.
All the militant nonsmokers in the world telling all you smokers that you are killing yourselves and I wonder how many of these nonsmokeing people are drinking themselves to death?¿
